How to be healthier and happier

There is no big secret when it comes to being healthier and happier, the best things to do are often the simplest things. We all want to look after our mental health, dental health and health of our bodies, doing so will leave us feeling much happier.


Of course finding a good dentist and a good doctor are essential but so is taking responsibility of our own health. We need to make sure that we do everything we can to look after our bodies, this can be done through what we eat and how we exercise.

Drink and drink some more

Keeping hydrated is more important that you might think. Did you know that our bodies are made up of two thirds water and keeps the body functioning correctly. Water does so much for your body; acts as a solvent, helps carry nutrients, regulates temperature and detoxifies the body. Ensuring that you drink enough will also keep your energy levels up.

Eat sensibly

With a hectic lifestyle it can be very easy to eat on the move, these ‘on the go’ snacks are often very unhealthy and not always tasty. When possible you should take time to eat, be conscious about what is in your meal and enjoy it. One great tip is that you must chew properly – this will not only help you enjoy your food more but it helps with the digestive process.

Get in the sun

Sunlight gives us a great way to get vitamin D in to our bodies. The vit D that the skin produces comes with a long list of benefits; reduces some types of cancer, heart disease and also improves the immune system. Remember that whilst sunlight is good for the body you should never spend too long out in the sunshine, getting sun burn is not beneficial in anyway.
